On April 12, the promotion and targeted investment matchmaking meeting for the automotive and parts industry chain of Tai'an, Shandong, was successfully held in Shanghai. Chen Jinxiu, Deputy Secretary and Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Government Office in Shanghai, and Song Hongyin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Tai'an Industrial Promotion Committee, Director of the Industrial Promotion Office, and First-Level Inspector of the city, attended the event.
During the promotion, Song Hongyin introduced that Tai'an is fully committed to shaping new advantages for high-quality development and focusing on building a "441X" modern industrial system. This system includes four pillar industries: high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, modern food, and high-end chemicals; four advantageous industries: new energy, medical and pharmaceutical equipment, publishing and printing, and textiles and garments; one major digital economy industry; and several future industries, comprehensively strengthening the city's industrial development foundation.
The automotive and parts industry chain is one of the core chains of Tai'an's four pillar industries, with a focus on three key sectors: special vehicles and modified vehicles, transmission system components, and heat exchange system components. The industry has a strong foundation. Currently, the city boasts a number of leading enterprises in the industry, including Aerospace Special Vehicle, Geely Remote, Runtong Gear, Taikai Casting, Shandong Xinheyuan, Detai Machinery, Zhenting Piston, Qicheng Wheels, and Antu Brakes. There are over 340 automotive and parts-related enterprises, forming a well-supported and diversified industrial cluster.
In terms of industrial carrier support, Tai'an has focused on building specialized industrial parks such as the Taishan Automotive Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park and the Quanli Auto Parts Industrial Park. Currently, there are approximately 900 mu of available construction land and 80,000 square meters of standard factory space, continuously promoting the agglomeration and development of industrial projects and providing high-quality spatial support for enterprise establishment, expansion, and upgrading.
In 2022, despite multiple pressures such as a declining industry market and frequent epidemics, Tai'an's automotive and parts industry achieved steady growth against the trend. Enterprises above the designated size in the city achieved operating revenue of 10.62 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.1%; total profits reached 260 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.2%. Significant results were achieved in industrial investment attraction, with major projects related to Fortune 500 companies successfully introduced, including Geely Automobile's 20,000 new energy commercial vehicles and China National Heavy Duty Truck's 5,000 mining heavy trucks. The city's industrial fixed asset investment for the year reached 1.186 billion yuan, injecting strong momentum into industrial transformation and upgrading.
Song Hongyin stated that Tai'an is currently fully polishing its investment attraction brand of "Aim High, Choose Tai'an," focusing on building a new industrialized strong city, and striving to achieve the "double doubling" goal of the number of enterprises above the designated size and revenue in the automotive and parts industry. He sincerely invited entrepreneurs from the Yangtze River Delta region to visit Tai'an, deeply engage in Tai'an, seize industrial development opportunities, and join hands as "urban development partners" for Tai'an's high-quality development.
